PRAWN BIRIYANI IN PRESSURE COOKER


Today I'm going to share you PRAWN BIRIYANI RECIPE. Easy biriyani in pressure cooker method. Here is the pictures...

PREPARATION TIME: 15 MINUTES 
COOKING TIME: 30 minutes 
SERVES: 3 PERSONS

What we need:
Onions- 2
Tomatoes- 2
Rice- 1cup 
Ginger garlic paste- 1tsp 
Ghee- 2-3tbsp 
Green chilli- 1
Cinnamon stick- 1 or 2
Cardamon- 2
Cloves- 5
Bay leaf- 2
Salt
Water- 2cups 
For marination:
Prawns- 1/2kg cleaned
Ginger garlic paste- 1tsp
Turmeric powder- 1tsp 
Chilli powder- 2tsp 
Salt 
Curd- 1/4cup 

Method:
Soak basmati rice in water for 1/2 an hour. 
Marinate the prawns with other things in marination.
Heat ghee in a pressure cooker. Add all the spices. 
Add onions and saute till it turns brown. 
Now add in tomatoes, mint leaves, ginger garlic paste one by one. 
Saute till the tomatoes turns mushy. 
Now add in the marinated prawns in that and mix it well. 
Saute for 2 minutes, adjust the salt and spiciness to ur taste add in water to it.
Let it boil,then add soaked and washed rice.
Close the lid. Leave 1 whistle and switch off the flame. 
Open the lid after the pressure goes off.
Biriyani is now ready to serve!!!

In pressure cooker add ghee

Add in spices

Add onions 

When the onions turns brown 

Add tomatoes and ginger garlic paste 

Add mint leaves and salt 

Add prawns 

Add water

Soaked and washed rice


Add rice

Let it boil

Close the lid and leave 1 whistle.
Open the lid after the pressure goes off!  

Ready to serve hot with raita!!!

Kariveppillai chutney / curry leaves chutney



Curry leaves/ kariveppillai is a herb which is commonly used to add flavors to recipes. It has been used in health conditions like hair loss, diabetes, weight loss,blood pressure, acne, indigestion, anaemia. So adding it to our foods givesus amazing health benefits. 

Curry leaves chutney is a easy chutney can make it in minutes. The green colour of the chutney attracts kids. The main ingredient here is curry leaves.

WHAT WE NEED :
Curry leaves- 1cup
Ginger- 1 inch
Green chillies- 5 or 6
Coconut- 1 piece
Salt as required

For tempering:
Oil
Mustard seeds
Cumin
Urad dal
Curry leaves

METHOD:
Add curry leaves, ginger, chillies, coconut, salt in a mixer jar.
Grind everything smoothly. Change it to another bowl.
Keep a pan in stove. Add oil, when it gets heat add mustard seeds.
When it starts to splutter add cumins, urad dal, curry leaves.
Add the seasoning in to the chutney.

EASY MUTTON Saaru / MUTTON clear soup


Mutton saaru / Mutton clear soup is very good having it in cold seasons. It is very healthy one. It is a clear soup, I'm not adding so many spices to it. This is the way my mom prepares soup for me. Tastes yummmm...!! I made small quantity.  I have shown the step-by-step instructions and pictures in it. Try it and give me ur feedbacks!!

WHAT WE NEED :
Mutton- 250 g
Turmeric powder- 1tsp
Pepper powder- 1-2tbsp
Green chilli- 1or2
Garlic pods- 10
Salt as required
Water- 2cups
Mint leaves- handful

METHOD:
Wash and clean the mutton.
Add turmeric powder, salt and green chillies. I added the green chilli later. Because of my kid won't have it, if it is too spicy.
Leave it for 6 to 7 whistles. Open the lid when pressure goes off.
Now add the crushed garlic and pepper powder, mint leaves.
Serve hot!!

STEPWISE PICTURES:
Wash and clean the mutton 

Add water, salt, turmeric powder and chilli 

Presure cook for about 7 to 8 whistles 

Boiled mutton 

Add crushed garlic 

Pepper powder 

Salt if required

RAVA KESARI



Rava KESARI. It is an easy sweet which often we all south Indians make it in our house for occasions. Simple ingredients with easy steps makes anyone can easily make it within minutes!! Here is the simple steps to try..

PREPARATION TIME: 5 MINUTES 
COOKING TIME: 15 MINUTES 
SERVES 4-5

What we need:
Rava -1cup
Sugar  -1cup
Cardamon- 2 or 3 crushed
Ghee -2-3tbsp
Cashewsand dry grapes
Food colour a pinch
Water -3cups

Method:
Keep a non stick pan in medium flame. Add rava and roast it till brown.
Transfer it to a plate, in the same pan add ghee and roast cashews and dry grapes.
Transfer it to another plate, now add water and crushed Cardamons.
Add food colour, add sugar in it, mix until sugar melts.
Let it boil, now add the roasted rava and bring the flame into simmer and mix.
Switch off the flame when rava boiled and add cashews and grapes.
Ready to serve!!!

Ghee 

Roast rava

In the same pan add ghee

Add dry fruits

Roast till brown 

Add cardamom and water

Add sugar and food colour 

When it starts to boil add roasted rava

Simmer 

Cook until water dries and rava boils add roasted nuts

NOTE: 
* If you want more sweetness add extra 1/4cup or 1/2cup of sugar according to your taste.
* when adding rava, mix gently. Do not make any lumps to form.
* whatever dry fruits you wish you can add.

ONION EGG PODIMAS




Egg podimas is a quick & easy to prepare side dish in few minutes. This egg podimas is a life saver. I usually make this podimas as side dish for rice. But it tastes good with chapathi and dosa too. Here it is with stepwise pictures, Check it out and give feedbacks !!

PREPARATION TIME: 5 MINUTES
COOKING TIME: 10 MINUTES
SERVES 3 -4

What we need:
Eggs- 4
Onion- 1 medium sized
Green chillies- 3
Turmeric powder- 1tsp
Salt
Pepper powder- 1-2tsp
Oil for seasoning

Method:
Chop the onion and green chillies finely.
Break and take the eggs in a bowl. Add turmeric powder and mix.
Heat a non stick pan and add oil, mustard seeds. Let it splutters, add onions.
When the onions turns brown add green chillies and saute.
Add salt and turmeric powder. Then add eggs and scramble it.
Saute it till the eggs boiled.
Ready to serve !!
