Aatu kaal paya


Aatu kaal paya is a south Indian's famous non vegetarian dish. It goes well with idly and dosa. Always We make it very spicy, using pepper. This time I tried lil different using coconut. Turned out so tasty.. Check out the recipe here.. 

Preparation time: 10minutes 
Cooking time: 30minutes 
Serves: 4 

What we need:
Goat legs - 1/2kg
Onion- 1 
Ginger garlic paste- 1tsp 
Turmeric powder- 1tsp 
Red chilli powder- 2tsp 
Garam masala powder- 1tsp 
Pepper powder- 1tsp 
Cumin powder- 1/2 tsp 
Salt as needed 
Oil for seasoning 
Curry leaves- 1 spring
Coriander leaves 
Fennel - 1tsp 
To grind:
Coconut- 1 big piece 
Green chilli- 1 
Fennel- 1tsp 
Cashews- 6 or 7 

METHOD:
Wash and clean the goat legs. Boil the legs with turmeric powder in pressure cooker.
Take all ingredients. Grind the ingredients given under to grind. 
Heat oil in pan. Add fennel. Add onions chopped, curry leaves and saute for few minutes. 
Add in all the spices. Turmeric powder,  red chilli powder, garam masala, cumin powder, pepper powder and saute.
Add the boiled legs in the pan. Add more water if needed.
Now add in grinded mixture and keep the flame simmer for few minutes. 
Switch off. SERVE HOT with idly, dosa, rice.
