PREPARATION TIME: 10 MINUTES 
COOKING TIME: 20 MINUTES 
SERVES: 3
WHAT WE NEED: 
Rice -1cup 
Moong dal -1/4cup 
Ginger -2inch 
Curry leaves- handful 
Whole peppercorns- 1tbsp 
Cumin -1tbsp 
Asafoetida- 1tsp 
Ghee- 2-3tbsp 
Oil- 1tbsp 
Salt 
water-3 1/2 cup 
Cashews 
METHOD: 
Soak rice and dal for 1 hour. Heat a pressure cooker, add ghee, add soaked and washed rice dal mixture. Saute for few minutes. 
Add water, salt, cumin, ginger. Close the lid. Leave 5 whistles in medium flame. 
Open the lid after pressure goes off. Heat a pan add oil. Add whole pepper, curry leaves, cashews. 
Let it sizzle, now add the rice mixture and saute for few minutes. Switch off the flame. 
Ready to serve!!
