PANEER BUTTER MASALA








Paneer butter masala is the most popular Indian dish. This is a traditional punjabi dish with soft paneer cubes in creamy gravy. Everyone 's favorite dish for chapati and naan. Here is the recipe with step by step instructions and pictures. 

PREPARATION TIME: 10 MINUTES
COOKING TIME: 15 MINUTES
SERVES: 3 -4

INGREDIENTS:
Onion 1
Tomato 2
Ginger garlic paste 1tsp
Paneer 200g
Green chilli 1 or 2
Red chilli powder 1tsp
Garam masala powder 1tsp
Bay leaf 1
Butter 1tbsp
Oil 1tbsp
Salt as required
Fresh cream
Kasuri methi 1tsp

METHOD:
1. At first make onion paste by grinding it in a mixer.
2. Then blanch the tomatoes and grind it and make a puree.
3. Heat oil and butter in a non stick pan , add bay leaf and onion paste and green chillies.
4. Saute till it turns brown.
5. Add red chilli powder and garam masala powder.
6. Now add in tomato puree, leave it in medium flame for few minutes till oil separates.
7. Now add ½ cup of milk and ½ cup of water (you can add 1cup of milk instead of adding water) milk gives rich flavour to the dish.
8. Add crushed Kasuri methi and paneer cubes.
9. Add fresh cream and mix it well. Serve hot with chapati, naan,  paratha.

TIPS: Adding cashew paste also makes the dish creamy and rich in flavour.
