Preparation time : 10minutes
cooking time: 40minutes
Serves: 13 to 14 ppl
What we need:
Basmati rice- 1 1/2kg
Onions- 6
Tomatoes- 5
Green chillies- 2 or 3
Ginger garlic paste- 3tbsp
Mint leaves- 1 bunch
Ghee- 3tbsp
Oil- 2tbsp
Whole Garam masala spices
Salt as needed
Water as needed
For marination:
Chicken- 1 1/2kg
Curd- 1/4cup
Ginger garlic paste- 1tbsp
Turmeric powder- 1tsp
Red chilli powder- 2tbsp
Salt- 1tbsp
METHOD:
Ingredients
For marination.. Add the given ingredients in chicken, marinate it for 1 or 2 hours
Heat a heavy base vessel, add ghee, oil. Add whole garam masala spices, add onions sliced, green chillies and saute..
Saute the onions till golden brown, now add in tomatoes.
When the tomatoes turns mushy, add in ginger garlic paste and mint leaves to it.
Now add in marinated chicken and saute for few minutes.
Add in water. Wait let it boil.
Now add in rice. Close the lid. Leave it in medium flame for 15 minutes and turn the heat to simmer, leaves it for 10minutes. Open the lid and puff the rice up.
READY TO SERVE!!!

NOTE:
*measure the rice in cup before marination. So that we can measure the water in the same cup. For 1cup rice add 2cupsof water.
*do not over mix after adding the rice, rice may break easily.
*I have not added any food colour to it. If you want you can add.
