CHICKEN BIRIYANI in pressure cooker style






Chicken biriyani is everyone’s favorite.  Usually I do not prepare in pressure cooker. Sometimes, when in hurry I'll choose pressure cooker. Here is the recipe, measurements.. make a note and try it ...  

PREPARATION TIME: 10 MINUTES 
COOKING TIME: 20 MINUTES 
SERVES: 4

WHAT WE NEED:
Onions-3
Tomatoes-2
Basmati rice- 1 1/2 cup 
Ginger garlic paste- 2tsp
Mint leaves- 1/2cup 
Green chillies- 1 
Salt 
Ghee- 2tbsp 
Oil- 1tbsp 
Cardamon- 2
Cinnamon stick- 2
Bay leaf- 2
Cloves- 4

For marination:
chicken- 1/2kg
Ginger garlic paste- 2tsp
Red chilli powder- 2tsp 
Turmericpowder- 1tsp 
Curd- 1/4cup 
Salt 

Method:
Clean and wash the chicken. Take it in a bowl, add the ingredients under marination and leave it for 2hours. 
Heat the pressure cooker and add ghee, oil, add all the spices. 
Add in sliced onionsand green chilli, saute till it turns brown. 
Now add in ginger garlic paste and tomatoes, saute for 2mins. 
Then add the mint leaves and saute.
Add salt, saute till the tomatoes turns mushy. 
Add in the marinated chicken and mix well and leave it for few minutes in low flame. 
Add in water now.. for 1 1/2cup of rice add 3cups of water.
Let it boil and now add in rice.. check the salt and spiciness. 
Close the lid. Leave it for 1 whistle.
Open the lid after the pressure goes off. 
Ready to serve hot with raita!!!

Add in soaked and washed rice.


                                            
Close the lid and leave it for 1 whistle..
Open the lid after the pressure goes off. 

Biriyani readyy!!!
Serve with raita!!
