Idly podi is the coarsely ground powder of dry spices. Most of the south Indians likes it to have idly with idly milagai podi even if they have Sambhar and Chutney. Also at times it helps in hurry. Preparation time: 15minutes
Cooking time: 5 minutes
WHAT WE NEED:
Bengal gram- 1/2 cup
Urad dal- 1/2 cup
Sesame seeds- 25 grams
Dry red chillies- 12 - 13 nos
Garlic pods- 7
Curry leaves- handful
Asafoetida- 1tsp
Salt- 1tsp
METHOD:
1. Dry roast all the ingredients separately.
2. Take a blender, put curry leaves, garlics, asafoetida, dry red chillies first.
3. Blend it coarsely. Then now add in other ingredients and blend it again to a coarse powder.
4. Now Idly milagai podi is ready!!
